Lightweight and easy to clean

I use lightweight cherry or birch plywood to construct the surface. Lovely yet lighter and treated with lacquer, they are easy to keep clean as well as easy to lift. My luxurious Lap Desks are designed to support your arms and to lift your working surface 3 inches (small) and 5 inches (large) so that you can relax as you write, read, eat, use a computer, etc. I switched to shredded foam filler and discontinued the use of polyfil. The shredded foam regains its shape if poked and is very light.
