Lightweight and easy to clean

I use lightweight maple or birch laminate to construct the surface. Lovely yet than hardwoods and treated with lacquer, they are easy to keep clean as well as easy to lift. My luxurious Lap Desks are designed to support your arms and to lift your working surface 3 inches (small) and 5 inches (large) so that you can relax as you write, read, eat, use a computer, etc. I use shredded foam filler instead of Styrofoam. The shredded foam regains its shape if poked and is very light.
